'Living a Nightmare': Relatives of Unaccounted For Young People Await News After Ski Resort Fire

The relatives of teens missing after a tragic fire at a bar in a Swiss ski resort are enduring an agonising period of uncertainty for official news and requesting any details about their family members publicly.

The blaze devastated the a popular bar in the alpine resort, located in the mountains of south-west Switzerland, in the middle of the night of January 1st. Circulated footage show the ceiling catching alight as bottles with fireworks are raised in celebration.

Officials have indicated that it could take an extended period to identify the those who perished of the disaster, which killed four dozen individuals and hurt another scores more. A spokesperson noted on Friday that the majority of the injured have been accounted for, with efforts continuing to name the final individuals.

In the interim, families and friends have been taking to social media to appeal for information about their missing relatives who were at the bar that night.

The Italian foreign ministry has indicated that six of its young people have not been located.
