The Group One for two-year-old colts pits elite France-based prospects against a strong runner trained by Ballydoyle. Unbeaten Graffard’s Rayif along with Nighttime face O’Brien’s Puerto Rico from Ballydoyle. Rayif took a Group Three event on his most recent outing, and Christopher Head’s charge, with a strong record, also is a Group Three victor, after won a Group Three at Longchamp at today’s course and distance in early September. The Irish runner was more active than his rivals , got off the mark only on his last outing, in the Champagne Stakes at Doncaster. Although not the favourite for an O’Brien entrant and among the favourites did not deliver, he is a strong second-favourite according to the bookmakers.
