This young athlete maintains substantial online audience
Kai Trump can count on multiple high-profile cheerleaders when she starts her professional golf debut later this week.
This teenage golfer, who happens to be connected to a former US president, obtained a tournament invitation to participate at the Annika tournament in Florida.
The former president, an avid golfer, possesses multiple courses worldwide and frequently matches against his granddaughter.
"He's quite skilled. I can't reveal details but we have some close matches," she stated.
She mentioned that her grandfather, unable to come, advised her: "Simply avoid anxiety."
"He basically told me to play and enjoy myself," she added.
"From my perspective, he's simply a normal grandpa. He won't be there this weekend. He's busy with running the country, so he's quite busy."
While still amateur, the golfer has participated in only three events this year and has ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association listings.
Yet she's able to seek guidance from golf legend, romantically involved with her mother.
"He represents the greatest golfer globally," Kai stated.
"Additionally, he's a more impressive human being. He told me to go out there, have fun, and go with whatever happens."
She'll challenge some of top competitors in the sport at the competition, including world number two Nelly Korda, British Charley Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.
The LPGA commented that her participation brings golf to wider groups, particularly reaching younger fans.
The young star boasts millions of followers and recently launched her own fashion and living company.
She begins at late afternoon GMT.
