Two men have been charged following a suitcase robbery where a suspected irritant spray caused injuries at London's Heathrow Airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two counts of robbery and two counts of using a harmful chemical, authorities have stated.

This legal action stems from an investigation into an assault at the parking structure at Terminal 3 on the weekend. Before the assault occurred, two women were robbed of their suitcases taken after exiting a parking garage elevator, authorities reported.

A three-year-old girl was among those injured in the event. Five people were taken to a medical facility and were eventually allowed to go home.

This event – described by police as was not part of a series and not being treated as terrorism – resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the main airport road tunnel and the T3 parking area for a brief period.
